The man responsible for last years Currach build, and the ins piration behind our Currach races, is also an accomplished artist. Mark Redden of Ireland joins forces with Guillermo Pfaff, a native of Barcelona, for a collaborative exhibition entitled DUST at the Grącia Arts Project. One of the most exciting international Arts collectives in the city, The Gracia Arts Project also has strong Irish links as it develops under the guidance of the enterprising Justin Donlon.
Both Mark and Guillermo's working process has the similarity of an evolution of colour and form through layers of paint. This method gives rise to strong images that require the viewer to enter the work through subtle clues. Their work deals with contemporary and historical issues and serves as a reflection on matters of local and global concern.
