EL FEILE is the largest multi disciplinary contemporary Irish and Celtic cultural event in Spain. EL FEILE has played a pivotal role in the development of Gaelic Games here over the years and is the current sponsor of the Spanish Championship trophies. EL FEILE were the pioneers of professional English language comedy in Spain and our legendary 'Best of Irish' comedy specials led directly to the founding of The Giggling Guiri comedy nights. Now in its third successful season in both Madrid and Barcelona it is a testament to the vision and bravery of the festival. Ireland is the only European country to currently enjoy our own festival in one of the most fashionable and successful cities of the EU. Over 60 % of website traffic will go through the Catalan site and we estimate local Catalans account for 70% of audiences demonstrating the level of local interest.
